"Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign:
The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son,
and will call him Immanuel."
- Isaiah 7:14
"...wise men from the East came to Jerusalem..."
"... and behold, the star which they had seen in the East went before them"
" And when they had come into the house,
they saw the young Child with Mary His mother,
and fell down and worshiped Him.
And when they had opened their treasures,
they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh."
- Matthew 2:11
(these little hanging nutcrackers
are created with corks from wine bottles...
thanks for the corks Karen )
Blue hues and warm whites
with lots of sparkle and crystals
seems like a good idea in our family room this year.
I found this cheeky little minion in the Op Shop.
He speaks too!!
The tiny ones are again, made from corks.
Our dining room took on the
Moroccan theme
again this year.
It has been four years since I did that theme.
(wow...time goes so fast)
So, I thought it was due once more.
Vibrant rich colours and lots of coloured fairy lights to set the mood.
AND I just HAD to create a place to show off the
amazing camel
which I was lucky enough to find in an Op Shop.
He just needed a bit of tizzing up a bit with fancy trims.
Almost everything in these photos,
was purchased from Op Shops.
Lots of fun was had hunting and gathering these
curtains, scarves, saris, lanterns, candle holders, fabric and table runner..
As well as glasses, mirrors, and wooden stands.
While Op shopping I actually came across
a lovely Fez hat for Gilbert,
our Frog Waiter.
(Sorry Razzy... Beauregard just never sat right with me. )
Another year is coming to an end.
I'm so glad it always ends with the festive season.
So beautiful and magical with pretty lights,
and family get togethers.
Christmas is utterly wonderful to me,
as it is the one time of year when we get to hear
music and singing
in shopping centres and malls,
not to mention Carols Nights, at churches and parks...
all giving glory and honour
to our Lord Jesus Christ.
I am so very much eagerly awaiting His return, soon.
May you all know the peace of God,
as we celebrate His birth once more.
Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy new year 2025.
