And before I knew it,
Christmas 2021 had been and gone.
Apologises for this late blog post.
But, as is often said,
better late than never.
With some loved family members
no longer with us on earth,
this Christmas was bound to be different.
But, we are very thankful
that we could
enjoy the company
of those who we still have.
Thankful for good health too.
Hard to organize myself
for a specific theme
this year, for the lounge room.
So, it finished up being
lots of bright colours and whimsy.
The fireplace,
adorned with a garland
filled with multi coloured fairy lights
and whimsical ornaments.
Our Dining room
was embellished in blue,
with not too much effort.
The front foyer
was actually
left untouched all year (!)
(please don't judge me)
As I was still enjoying seeing the remains
of our Moroccan theme
from the previous Christmas.
:P
The purple lights
inspired me
to continue that colour theme
into the Family room.
for an angel theme in here...
and I suppose, I got there.
Lots of feathers and swans
also crept in. lol
Also, due to a malfunction
with our old fibre optic twig tree,
we ended up buying a
new white small tree.
Which seemed to work ok
with the white/angel theme.
I think, having the angels come
and take
three of our family members in 2021
was the motivation behind my Angel theme.
that we will indeed meet up with them again
in the air,
when Jesus returns again soon.
I do so love this time of the year
when we hear so many songs
about our Saviour and His birth.
For us.
We do hope you all had a memorable and merry Christmas.
Hopefully,
2022
will be filled with nice surprises for us all.
Lots of love to you all,
Vicki & Jill.
PS...hiding inside the family room cabinet, is a little Christmas scene with a few of my favourite Art Dolls that I have purchased from very clever artists.
They make me smile as I peek into their tiny space.
